EPR in Austria

The Austrian Waste Management Act (Abfallwirtschaftsgesetz) or AWG stipulates that a manufacturer or distributor who puts packaging material, electrical, electronic equipment (EEE), batteries or accumulators into circulation in Austria is obliged to report this packaging and collect a fee from it.

EEE Act Recycling act for Electrics and Electronics Equipment

Lamps, refrigerators, air conditioners, monitors, washing machines, etc. are all within the scope of recycling under the DEEE Act

Packaging Act Recycling Act for Waste of Packaging Material

It includes all packaging materials of consumables or household products

Battery Act Recycling Act for Waste of Battery

Alkaline batteries, dry batteries, disposable lithium batteries, button batteries, NI-MH batteries, lithium-ion batteries and other batteries covered by the Battery Act
